What does this have to do with design?

Absolutely nothing.

I just really love pickle potato chips, but unfortunately not all pickle chips are created equal. Some are better than others and as it currently stands, Old Dutch remains supreme with not one, but two pickle potato chip flavors.

Since I’m already on the subject of pickles, here are some honorable pickle-related mentions:

  • The Minnesota State Fair - There are many ways to consume pickles at The Great Minnesota Get-Together. Some of my favorites are the fried pickles (duh), pickle lemonade, pickle cheese curd tacos, and the fried pickle hummus bowls.

  • Trader Joe’s Popcorn in a Pickle & Seasoning in a Pickle - Their pickle chips are not the best pickle flavored food that they offer. If you have a chance, try the popcorn or make your own with the seasoning.

  • Minnesota Sushi - A midwest classic that I only just recently learned that they were called this and not “that ham/cream cheese/pickle roll-up thing”.

  • Cornichon Pickles - Arguably the best type of pickle you can get. Tiny, crunchy, and veryyy sour. In a perfect world, all pickles would be like this.
